Applying Swiss Triplets to the Drum Set

Swiss triplets fit nicely into any triplet based groove. The easiest way to apply swiss triplets to the drum set is to move the right hand to another instrument. For example, cymbal and snare or hi-hat and cymbal.

Jazz

Blues

Apply a heavier feel when applying swiss triplets to blues. Try fills 1 and 2 from above.

Rock

Because rock is eighth note based, fast 16th note swiss triplets with an eighth note beat works well for slow and medium tempos.
